“Now You Can Lose Weight,
Get Lean, And More Toned
Without Ever Going To A Gym”
Dear Friend,
Are you looking to get in better shape but hate the idea of going to a gym?
Most everyone I’ve talked to who quit a gym shortly after joining one told me what they hated about it.
- They felt uncomfortable with the gym subculture — being around men and women flaunting their muscle-bound bodies and attitudes – putting on a show.
- There was no one there to truly help motivate them or help them towards reaching their goals.
- They thought lifting weights, running and riding stationery machinesdid nothing for them mentally other than bore them.

This Was Me At 313 lbs.
Who needs all that?
All you really want is to get in shape and work out.
I know because I went through the same thing.
I used to weigh 313 pounds; I tried numerous diets and different forms of exercise only to find myself giving up time and time again either from boredom or lack of interest.
Then I finally found something that captured my attention and interest long enough to help me actually see and feel improvements in my physique and athletic abilities.

Here I Am At 212 lbs.
I Lost 101 Pounds!
I give the credit to Jeet Kune Do Training and the martial arts.
No other form of exercise offered the structure, discipline, dynamic, philosophical guidance, confidence building, personal development and knowledge that the martial arts has given me.
Plus it gave me something no other form of exercise can: the ability to protect myself and the persons I love and care about!
Can You Say That About Going To Gym,
Lifting Weights Or Practicing Yoga or Pilates?
By the way, I am not talking about bowing every 5 seconds, walking around wearing white pajamas, practicing dance- like movements that have nothing to do with learning how to fight and defending yourself and the people you love.
I’m talking about learning something that’s realistic, practical and effective.
Something that is proven so effective that even our Elite Military Forces use it!
The great thing about learning the martial arts is that it’s fun, interesting, and dynamic. There is nothing mundane about the training.
Trust me, there is nothing exciting about lifting weights and pedaling or running on a lifeless piece of cardio equipment.
You could hire a personal trainer to motivate you but that ends up being extremely costly especially if you need to work out 3 to 4 days a week which is typically necessary for getting maximum results.
Then you have that gym atmosphere to contend with, people half dressed showing off their bodies, muscle bound goons walking around with their intimidating mannerisms.
Who needs that?
You’re there to work out, it’s not a popularity or tough person contest. That type of atmosphere does nothing positive for you, does it?
The JKD Way
A great martial arts school provides you with an Ego-Free Learning Environment where you feel like you’re part of team, and everyone is there to help each other out.
The philosophical guidelines of combat and martial arts can be used as a powerful instrument for improving yourself.
Martial arts instructors are not only there to teach you, they’re there to coach you, to motivate and push you beyond your physical and mental boundaries.
If you’re overweight or out of shape you’ll resist and consider quitting – I won’t let you — giving up, on your training and yourself, is not an option!
Thanks to my involvement with martial arts training, I have been in good shape and maintained a healthy body weight for many years.
I know how hard it is to make the change and what level of discipline is involved. I’m here to help make the change happen for you!
It’s not easy getting leaner, more toned and fit. Yet the satisfaction of improving your overall level health and looking better is so worth it!
Look And Feel Like An Athlete
Today the buzz words in the fitness community are muscle confusion, cross fitness and cross training.
Martial arts have become an integral part of this new fitness movement.
Why Is That?
Weight training can only improve strength and increase muscle mass, it can do nothing to improve tendon and ligament strength and help you improve your overall level of athleticism. For example running on a treadmill and riding stationery equipment is good for improving your cardiovascular system, but there are better ways!
Some people may look the part…
They might have the body to show, but not the body to go!
The great thing about martial artists is that there’s no denying that they’re incredible athletes. Look at boxers, wrestlers, kick boxers and professional mixed martial artists. They not only look the part, they are the real thing.
The training methods and drills of the mixed marital arts teach students skills in all ranges of combat. It also provides you with a total body workout by involving all the major muscle groups in your body. The arms, shoulders, core, back, gluteus, hips and legs all need to work together to achieve maximum performance.
Training in a complete system of martial arts will help you improve and enhance attributes such as the following listed below:
Get In Shape and Learn How To
Defend Yourself all at the same time
- Cardiovascular Endurance
- Strength
- Reaction Time
- Balance
- Self Synchronization (Overall Coordination)
- Form
- Proper Body Mechanics
- Explosiveness
- Hand-Eye Coordination
- Foot-Eye Coordination
- Footwork
- Power Development
- Focus
- Sensitivity/Tactile Awareness
- Knowledge of Distance
- Timing
- Speed Enhancement
- Explosiveness
- Relaxation
- Dealing With Contact
- Mental Toughness
So if you’re already an athlete, martial arts will help you improve your overall level of performance. If you’re not an athlete, they will definitely make you more athletic. Take it from someone like me who was a morbidly obese teen. I was the last person picked in gym class and there were good reasons why I was picked last. The time and the skill that I have developed have created a substantial overall difference in my athletic ability.
You will and can improve your overall level of athleticism, there’s no denying that, if I can do it so can you and I can show you how.
